Water Features and Resilience
The potable water for the house is supplied by Madison Southern Water District (i.e. "city water"). An Aquasana filter on the kitchen sink—one of the better under-sink filters—provides tasty drinking water. The property has 12,000 gallons of filtered rainwater catchment, providing ample rainwater for gardening and as backup in case of city-water outages (in combination with a Big Berkey or other gravity water filter). A creek is adjacent, with a reservoir within walking distance.
